My alarm goes off and there is absolutely no motivation for me to open my eyes and actually get myself out of bed. In addition to that the icy winter morning (well does Cape Town even have winter because it's like 27 degrees in the middle of the day, but nevertheless it's still cold in the morning) quite literally makes me want to cuddle even further in bed. So with the combination of a cuddly bed and crusty eyes than can barely open, the last thing I want to do is pick out an outfit for the day. Yes, I do know it's my own fault, my mom always says you should choose your outfit the night before, but like - who ever feels like doing that. Honestly, it's so much more thrilling to see what you can come up with in 10 minutes in the morning.
Now, going to a fashion school, everybody ALWAYS looks put together. As much as we always say "I'm so over dressing up, I'm genuinely gonna come in sweatpants tomorrow" - nobody ever does. We all wanna look good, cause when you look good - you feel good; and when you feel good, you work well. Right?
So naturally me being me, I wear my pyjamas. Disguising piece's like your dad's old T-shirt - or in my case, fabulously stylish cotton pyjamas from H&M - can save you time in the morning so you can have that extra cup of coffee.
It's so easy to make things like pyjamas or old t-shirts appropriate yet stylish! Throw on a basic pant be it jeans, linen, culottes. Add some killer accessories (in my case I did sunnies and a layered necklaces) and some banger shoes - if you can spend your whole day in heels, absolutely would 100% recommend! But if not, don't worry hun and some classic flats and your way.
