June 4th, 2018.
If you came from instagram and you thought this was a beerbongs & Bentleys review, sorry it's not (lol) - but don't stop reading you came all this way so you might as well finish.
Anyway, it's been a number of days since I posted last, I apologise (as if anyone reads this blog anyway lol).
For the past couple of days I haven't necessarily been in the best space, to be specific (without going deep into the boring soppy details) just for a few personal reasons (and also the fact that I found out Post Malone won't be headlining Daisies - bleak I know).
I didn't want to spread any negativity on this blog as I want it to be a place where I could emphasize happiness and all the beautiful things life has to offer.
So instead of being sad, I thought it might be better if I could share a few ways to overcome the sadness and rather embrace the happy things in life even if there's only a few.
First of all, music honestly makes anything better. Guaranteed you will always be able to find a song that empathises with your mood. Recently, in my saddened state Post has been offering me the utmost comfort. Beerbongs & Bentleys specifically (although in my personal opinion nothing will ever come close to Stoney, however, still an amazing album nevertheless and I thought it deserved a bit more attention).
Mood X Song recommendations:
Sad - Stay
Angry - Over Now
Over it - Better Now
Happy - Candy Paint
Nostalgic - Rockstar
Feelin like a bad bitch - Ball for Me (ft Nicki) OR Same Bitches (ft G-Eazy & YG)
Suitable for any mood - Paranoid or Rich & Sad
Ok so those of you who only came for Post may leave now xoxoxoxo

For the rest who decided to continue, thank you - here's some more tips.
Reminisce about a time where you felt happy! Look at photo's and imagine the feelings you were feeling that day or time! In my case, I thought about my time in Paris. It was absolutely freezing, but the freshly baked footlong baguette supplied me with copious amounts of heat and happiness!

Here are some more things that can help you when you're feeling sad!
1. Cry. If you know me you probably know that I am the biggest cry baby on the planet. I cry for anything at the drop of a hat, and my mom says I've probably cried every day of my life since I was born - but not necessarily all from sadness. I cry when I'm happy, sad, angry, excited, nervous (tbh I actually don't know if that's concerning or not, oh well now you all know I'm the worlds biggest cry baby lol).
Besides the point, sometimes (clearly all the time for me hahaha) it really does help to get out that bit of emotion. Bottling things up is never good for your mental health! Crying just releases those sad feelings and I promise you'll instantly feel a bit better.
2. Get rid of things you don't need! Living amongst clutter and messiness doesn't really do much for me when I'm feeling sad - if anything it makes me feel worse. So, decluttering and reorganising your closet or room and donating things you don't need will 100% make you feel a bit better!
3. CLEAN YO SELF!!! I can't emphasise the power of a shower more. Honestly, I think its probably one of the most effective "feel better" methods! Get in the shower, wash your hair, shave, exfoliate, put on a face mask or hair mask or both - basically wash all the sadness off of you! I promise after you come out you'll feel like a new person!
4. Me time. Sometimes you need just a bit of me time. Turn off your phone, make yourself a cup of tea, climb into bed and watch a movie or read a book and just be at peace with yourself.
I hope these tips helped a bit, just a few things I like to do when I'm having a bad day (or week lol)!
I also apologise for my excessive use of sarcastic parenthesis (unless its funny (there she goes again) then I don't apologise lol)
Just a little disclaimer too:
All these tips are just to help alleviate sadness a bit, they're just things that I find help and work for me when I feel like I'm not in a healthy mental state. I am by no means trained in psychology or anything of that sort these are just some friendly tips! :)
